Ikon 1.3 v/s Ikon 1.6

Guys,

A friend of mine is looking for a mid segment 2 nd hand car. he is looking at the ikon 1.3 and the ikon 1.6.

The budget - arnd 2.5L

the choices - ikon 1.3 2002 for 2.8L negotiable
ikon 1.6 2001 for 2.3L negotaible

the parameters - FE is a factor as the car will be mostly city driven. 10-12 kmpl is acceptable. comfort is another big factor. the car should be loaded with power steering, power windows and central locking.

I dont know whether the 1.3 ikon comes with all three things( PW,PS,CL). also i told him that post 2002 ford has improved the ride quality by softening the suspension and also retuned the engines for better FE.

now what do u guys say ? i dont know if the 2002 1.3 ikon came with PS,PW and CL. someone please help me out here!!

my friend has still specifically asked me to take a view from Team-BHP ( yeah thats what he said !!

I'd pick the later model....ie. 2002 1.3L,

Im not sure abt the features though, but i do know it comes with power steering, wht abt the flair, iris? those were models of the 1.3 range right? i guess they might have come with the goodies.

2002 ... 1.3?? is it the 58bhp one!! if so... then I'd preffer.. 1.6

FE... 10-12km/l could be difficult from both cars!

The 2002 1.3 is 58bhp, i guess. Close your eyes and take the 1.6.
We have a 2001 1.6 and it gives arnd 9kpl in the city with AC.

dont touch the 1.3 unless its the rocam engine .. you'll have cyclists running circles around you and you'll p**s away your annual entertainment budget on gas on the 58 bhp pushrod lump of metal on the old ikon .
