Ikon 1.8D Nxt

hi guys,

I am getting this offer for a 4 year old ford IKON 1.8d nxt, the asking price is 2.5-2.75L, 55k done, the car looks decent inside out!, mileage is told to be ~12kmpl.Did a small TD and car was ok in terms of performance(59hp,what to expect)

So is it a good deal, how is the car in general?, did'nt find many reviews on it, please advice!

I intend to drive it,college going fellow,50k a day,tight pocket !

My neighbour owns one and says that the maintenance costs are extremely high.

FE of 12 translates to around 3 rs a km, which is similar to the FE you can expect in a petrol hatch. Why don't you go for that instead ?

Apart from being extremely slow, the electrics were a major nightmare in the diesel Ikon. Be very careful. Am speaking from experience, not hearsay.

Despite two of my relatives having diesel ikons with no major issues, i would say look out for a Flair.
