Frankly buy the Magnum LT or else buy something else. Without ABS, the magnum's braking is gonna be scary. I found the brakes in the LT itself to be a bit on the leaner side.

Elantra is too old now and the replacement shall be out anytime soon.

A big No No to current Elantra no matter what discount you'll get.
Buy it only if you are a hard core fan of Elantra.

Current Magnum is better choice than current Elantra.
As some one said, Elantra would kill you in resale.

cheers

Hyundai managed to sell '1' Elantra all-over India in Nov 2007.

Unless you want that kind of 'exclusivity', please stick to the Optra Magnum.

pls let me know the best diesel performance car among Elantra Vs Magnum.

My perception on both.

Elantra:
Feature rich.
Good service backup
Less resale value (since its 5y old)

Magnum:
Not many features.
Good performance
Lack of good service backup

I’ve been hunting for Elantra for quiet a while, couldn’t find good specimen with decent mileage etc.
Magnum is available but priced little high since theses are 06-07 models.

Pls shed more light on both which is a better buy in terms of service, maintainance, cost of spares etc.
Planning to have vehicle for alteast 3-4y

May I know is there any warranty give on Magnum, similar to the one like 4y/80k for Elantra.

Mods I found this thread to be a suitable place, pls move if not.
can you pls change the title of the thread to Elantra Vs Magnum.
