Hi, Sorry - was out on a 2 week tour. Thank you all for your suggestions and advise. Had taken delivery of my Civic 1.8V this week. It feels smooth and have not hit any bumpers yet... Quick advice needed!!! Folks, I want a 2008 model Civic and the dealer says that they had a meeting this morning and they decided that they can book the car and deliver it by this month end. Can I trust them? What if they don't deliver the car as promised? Have any of you faced such a problem with Honda? |

If you're being asked to put some money down for the booking then ask them for a written commitment on their letter head regarding the delivery date. This is what I'd done recently with a Ford dealer to ensure that a 2008 Endeavour was delivered to us on time (it was a gift for my friend from his parents on his marriage, hence timely delivery was critical) and sure enough the dealer delivered the truck two days before the committed date! |

Dealers are notorious and often dont keep up to their word. Just put conditions on it that if delivery is not delivered by month end you will get some freebie or discounts. Thats the most you can do i guess. |
