Info wanted on 2nd hand Tiptronic cars in India

Hi guys,

Planning to buy a tiptronic car, these traffic jams are killing me and I want an auto gear car with an option of manual when required. Can't afford a new car right now so I am looking for a 2nd hand one.

Was thinking of a Lancer, how is the tiptronic version, when did production of this start and what will be the 2nd hand cost of one ???

Do I have any other options ?

Thanks in advance

Triptronic is an added bonus but i think its better you look out for an automatic car and if it has triptronic its even better. Honestly i barely use the triptronic function on my car(and i think thats the case with most), once you get used to an automatic they are a lot of fun to drive.
The lancer Inex pretty much bombed on sales so it's going to be hard to find one, but if you do they probably will be cheap too. Not a good option imo, look for a City A/T instead will be easier to maintain and probably more reliable too.
Whats you budget? If you can strech go for a Corolla A/T or Civic A/T used . The 2.3L Accord is an option too as i believe the resale price is low now, i have one and its great fun to drive even tho there is no triptronic it but performance is at par with the current gen 2.4L accord.

I didnt like the look of the NHC, and Civic, Corolla, Accord are all out of my budget. Since we all know that 2nd hand Lancers are available cheap and now cost or spares have come down too. Hence I was considering it.

Now, I do a lot of highway drives as well as city driving so thought a tiptronic would be better for overtaking etc. when extra power is needed quickly.

Whats the approx. price of a 2nd hand hand Lancer Invecs ???

@DRAGONLORD

Try talking to a Mitsubishi dealer. As I did a few months back, There are a couple of left over cars with the company (HM) at their production facility. They would give VERY GOOD discounts on them. The car/s I was offered were brand new 1.8 INVEX tiptronics, there was a limited choice in colours though.

So what you get is a BRAND NEW CAR with fully warranty at the price of a used NHC (nearly)

The only issue is they are Bharat Stage 2 complaint so can not be registered in Delhi NCR, but they were offering me to get it registered in smaller towns in Haryana or Himachal.

Take a call. Speak to a HM dealer or to HM directly.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Hey DRAGONLORD!! Mighty bows from MAVRICK and i think you should consider the option of what Ricky has mentioned and you can try @ a local Mitsubishi showroom and find out the details. I do think even Skoda too has an option of this but not sure if its available in India, however abroad I know for sure about it.

It works the same way the gears work with the torque convertor clutch in an automatic gearbox mode (D mode). What specific details are you looking at?
