Confused, which car to buy

Hi All,

I know this kind of thread already exists, I have read them. I have a similar query, however my needs are a little different and hope I can create a new thread for help.

My requirements in the car -

The car should be suited for tall people (I am 6'1" & my father is 6'2"). At present I use a wagonr and it is unarguably the best hatchback for tall people.

Should be reliable - This is very high considering the fact, that I keep traveling to very remote places where nothing could be available.

Should be a pleasure to drive - I go out on long drives very often and I love to drive.

Should be solid built.

Should be long lasting - I intend to keep the car for at least 5 or 6 years.

Should have ABS & Airbag.

Budget around 10 lac.

Yearly running 12000km in city 5000km on highways.

I took a TD of Verna, SX4, Cedia & Magnum the verdict is as follows.

SX4 - Great car at that price. I felt the seating comfort is awesome.
Against - Looks not that great, Heavy steering.

Verna CRDi - Awesome pick up, great handling.
Against - No Airbag, The car feels small, felt it is over priced.

Cedia - Fell in love as soon as I drove this car. I am not sure about the maintainance cost on this.
Against - The seating I felt is not very comfortable for long drives.

Optra Magnum- Absolute pleasure to drive, comfortable seats. responsive engine, not sure bout maintainance in the long run. Is the magnum reliable in the ling run?
Against - Low ground clearance & the sump problem which was mentioned in another thread.

I need a sedan, so Safari & Innova are ruled out. Please help me out in narrowing my choice, now I am inclined towards Cedia & Magnum. I don't mind looking at any other car if I have missed it out.

Also let me know if there are any special discounts on any of these cars in Bangalore.

Thanks in advance.

Manoj

As you have yourself mentioned all the cars that you are considering have already been discussed.

So kindly ask questions related to any particular car in a thread where its being discussed.
