Automatic transmission - sedan or hatchback under 10L

I would consider the i10 or the Honda City. The later is a bit over 10L, the former can be got for under 6L. Both are great cars (I drive both regularly). The i10 will offer easier parking, the City will offer a trunk and a bit more space.

Now Maruti claim a SX4 AT. I have not yet been able to find out whether it has torque converter lock up. It is a 4-speed. I will look at it as a lower cost alternative to the City.
