Perfomance of Petrol Swift Dzire

Hi All
Can the owners of Swift Dzire (petrol Version) confirm the performance of the car in terms of engine performance on Highways,Fuel Efficiency etc.
I drive about 600 km/month within city.Which would be a better option Diesel or Petrol?

For 600km a month, a petrol would be economical, unless you like the torque of a diesel.

OT: I guess you should have posted this in "What Car" section.

Rohit- I think this should have been posted in the Sedan Section.
You can browse thru the Dzire threads for more details.

Not driven the Dzire, but regularly drive my Dad's Swift-Zxi. Since all that separates both these cars is 30-odd kgs and a boot, I guess if you have driven one, you have driven both, so to say.

If you are someone who needs stonking performance, I would say that you might find the Swift disappointing. IMO the engine (that did duty on the 925kg Esteem) is just not adequate for the Swift weighing 1030kgs (add another 30kgs for the Dzire).

But since performance expectations vary with individuals, I would suggest you test drive it yourself and decide if it fits your needs.

For your limited monthly mileage, a petrol car is more than enough.
