Hi All,
Was just browsing through various forums and sites, a question crept up and thought would be worthy of asking you too..
How much does the name affect your purchase while buying a 2w/3w/4w?
Or after you have actually bitten the bullet and bought it?
I seriously could not believe the Skoda wanted to call the Octavia facelift "Laura". I don't think necessary to explain what it translates in our national language. Sorry if that offends Laura owners lol:
I own an Octavia here in the UK too, so technically I am a "Laura" owner toorl:
And then I read that VW has come up with a MPV concept called as "Bulli". I am speechless.
Would I want to be seen riding a "Slingshot"????
Or what if ask if a lady salesgirl at a HeroHonda offers to sell "Pleasure"
Would nice to hear your views on this.
Gandhar.
MODS: I couldn't find a place suitable for this thread. Please move it appropriately, if there is a more appropriate place for this one.

Hi Mitrajdeep,
I know about the vehicle.
I was talking about the names that these vehicles have which have a corny meaning in some other language.
Btw, the pic you have attached is not a "Bulli" concept.
Gandhar.
Adding to the list with some names from the curent model year. Maybe some of these have been in vogue for some years, but have been listed .
Chevrolet Hellcat
Nissan Rogue
Volkswagen GT DarkShine
Volkswagen Golf Biturbo
Dodge Ram Pro Master City- there is a Promaster Camper version too.
Reviving the thread up after 4 years. Might be a little Off Topic but a good one nonetheless.
Earlier in May, I was vacationing at a particular Club Mahindra resort and guess what do I see in the room service menu?
Mahindra Punch seems to be a very solid and possible name for a Mahindra LCV! Now you know who gets the credit when M&M name their model Punch:D
What do you guys think?

Actually, the name will be different. It will more likely be called the Mahindra
Puncho
Toyota Glanza ... Even my auto correct puts it as glands!
