Novel public service ideas

Dear fellow members of Team-bhp, have a look at the attached photo of a local news in Noida. Its indeed a novel idea but thoroughly misplaced, if you ask me. What is essentially the traffic police's responsibility to enforce is passed on to petrol pump owners, whose responsibility it is not, at the cost of their business. It gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "passing the buck".

You would understand my point better if you know the ground situation. If at all there is a traffic police on duty, he doesn't do anything to enforce traffic rules. He is either manning a crossing because the signal lights have broken down or he is just a manequin on the roadside. No helmet, triple riding on bikes, wrong side driving, jumping red lights; anything and everything happens right in front of their eyes and they don't miss a beat.

Please share other novel public service ideas from our babus that you have come across. It does not have to be sarcastic like mine.
