I was at baga beach on 5th nov between 1:30pm to 6pm.
There was crowd at 3pm but after 5pm, the crowd was thinned.
Lifegaurds at baga during that time were vigilant as it was high tide time after 4pm.
Lifegaurds were not allowing people to go more than 75 feet from shore in waist deep water.
I have not seen or heard anything mishap happened during that time.
Lifeguards were full alert during that time.
Also note that during that time i.e. between 3pm to 6pm, there were lot of speedboats @100 mtr in the sea near baga shoreline conducting tours.
I don't think any mishap happened there during that time.
I hope, everything will be alright.

If you post latest pic of the person and the group with which he was there at baga, it may be helpful.

Here are some pics of baga shore taken by me at 5pm on 5th nov.

Which cell phone (Airtel/Vodafone/reliance et el..) does he have ? That might help in tracking approx location. Specially if there is some inside connection in cell company.

If the cellphone is Vodafone (Prepaid Number) then I can provide some help in tracking the device in Maharashtra and Goa circle. I have one of my good friend working for Vodafone Prepaid section. Once we were successful in tracking down our missing friend from Pune. He was on vodafone prepaid connection. He was switching on phone for few times in a day, finally we tracked him in Kolhapur. Though exact pinpoint location is not possible but we can get an idea of his location.

+1 to this and what did the local police said?
And sorry to ask but is this guy into drugs? Reason I ask is, people take drugs and then pass off for multiple days forgetting everything.

Re: Person missing from Baga beach

Sorry to hear about him missing, and I hope he is found soon.

My cousin had gone missing in Goa a couple of years back. We launched a manhunt ourselves (cops weren't of much help). After 4 days of screening the north goa beaches, we found him drugged & lying on the road, outside a shack. It took a month's hospitalisation to get him back to normal. Whether he was drugged intentionally or unintentionally, no one knows. But all of his valuables were missing.

A few suggestions. Put up pictures, as many as u can all over the concerned and connected area. Check local hospitals, nursing homes etc. Tracking his call records during that period +/- a couple of days will be a good idea too. Seek help from fellow bhpians situated in goa. Contact mods for info.
Will keep an eye on this thread to read the good news soon. All the best.

Cops WILL be of some help as they have access to mobile records easily. I would suggest seek their help and then do your own search, I am sure you will find him, it is only a matter of time. Have faith.

The police are not helping. They say that they can track it only when the cell is ON. What rubbish.

Infact today his father and brother met the CM there. Lets hope something good comes out of it.

Unfortunately, they are correct. A phone can be traced only when it is on (ie connected to a tower). BUT, the towers can give a fair approximate of the last position when the phone was on.
