How much have you advanced in your dream of an Automotive career?

After seeing thread called Ever contemplated an Automotive career? you can easily see there are lots of people with big dreams to make it big in automotive career.

So how much have you advanced in turning that dream into reality?
Or what are you doing to reach your dream job?

I have personally said that I don't dream of an Automotive Career. As I want it to remain my hobbie. (link)
But for my dream job I am definetly on learning curve for it.

my dream is to drive. i drove 1 rally in the INRC last year and plan to do at least 5 this year. so hopefully am on my way to something.

I keep alternating between whether I want an automobile career or not.

I plan to do mechanical engineering, so thats progress in the automobile direction I think.

And after asking around, I decided against automobile engineering for a lot of reasons.

I am living my dream. Turning my passion into my career was the best option available to me.....and I took that.

That's why I find myself in Turin, Italy - pursuing my Bachelor's in Transportation - Car Design.
