Hey Guyz

If i am at 130mph, throttle stuck, then brakes fail.

I would jump out of the car & leave the car for the insurance people.

Keeping in mind no one else gets injured.

Coz we can buy cars but not LIFE

Couldn't he press the clutch? Or it was also jammed?
There was no mention of the clutch in the news! Was it auto?

Is this a second incident...
Way back when I was a school kid, I had read a similar story from America. A nursing student stuck in a similar situation, and finally, she drove for 3 hours only to crash into a cadillac. but survived. I read in one of the old Reader's digest magazine, Drama in real life, a column for real stories.

really long!!

what do when when accelerator jams

ever thought what you would do when your brakes fail or when your accelarator jams when you are travelling at high speed as it happened for this guy? this happened in UK where this guy in BMW got a struck accelerator when he was driving at 130mph. he had to travel another 60 miles in that high speed car before rolling down in a roundabout. cops were following his car and they have not issued a ticket (good cops, this wont happen in india as they wont come to know about this incident till its shown on tv!)

yeah i agree with you.. because 90% chances are you will hit an auto rickshaw.. if the accident wont kill you the public around will as they will not think of asking the person what the hell happened.. they will start to point out to rash and negligent driving... and then beat the remaining life out of you..

Pull key out of ignition — the steering will lock

Try to use handbrake. “The rear wheels are likely to lock and then it’s goodnight Vienna”

Well i love my ZEN even more now because it does not lock the steering when i turn of ignition. i think steering lock is 2 step (key moves) away.

any wayz it must have been a ride of life time. BTW would any of you have played linkin park drag song if you got stuck like this....lol just kiddin

Once the accelerator of my old kinitic jmmmed at 40Km/hr on a rough street. well i was scared n in shock. My 1st action was to apply breaks, they dont work. Then i turned of the ignition n applied the breaks and smiled happily

Why didnt you just use the clutch????

Exactly the same with the BMW in question. I think it was an automatic and hence no mention of the clutch!
