Hey folks,
Im sorry if what i write below anything that offends any of you. And nor do i want anyone to assume im taking a role of some whiner or in any other way which might sound negative to you guys. Also i might repeat something that already may have been discussed earlier so please ignore and pardon me for doing that. I dont intend to take away any one's icing!
Please remember the following are just my thoughts for which I could be right or wrong -

1) Can team-bhp Mods get some kind of a legal status from the manufacturers? And get press releases along with other media agencies cause believe me when it comes to Automotive news/etc in India honestly where do u find the kind of information you get here? Ever filpped thru ACI and seen how much info is atchually present? and compare that to the number of topics we already have in the team-bhp forums.

It would be great if even manufacturers recognise this site as a legal stand which would in future help faciliate a lot other things, And maybe our mods' who sound very co-operative on every issue can get first hand drives on up coming cars which could just be planned for future Eg.Jeep! and then give us a review and an inside story?

It would also be helpful if some person here has some genuine problem with a car company/ Dealer the issue could well be taken up by Team-Bhp, Which would ofcourse have a better pressure on the maker compared to what just one person would have.

2) Can we have a home page which atchually is just like a normal website? Where the mods can host news and pics etc? and then link the forums from there.

3) Can there be some clarity on the rules here? Cause there are times i feel like posting pics of some hot females but im not sure how would it be taken.

4) Can the user who starts his own thread have an option to delete it? I dont know if this is there but i somehow cant find it. I post at some other forums which are exactly the same and there we have a delete button so just wondering.

5) Can we have a section for posting problems people have with dealers / makers? I know it can fit in Technical stuff but still a seperate section if it's possible would be nice.

6) Is it possible to add a chat section here? or maybe create an IRC chat room on some server? Would be great to talk about something when a lot of us are online. At times i see guys like Rehaan,GTO,Crazi4Speed,Dippy and a lot others ( Im not mentioning cuz 282 names would take me a long time ) And wish i cud just speak to them.

7) Again a demand but i remember someone talking abt emails that would be excellent i believe.

8) Time to time Team-Bhp can have a rally or a get together and demonstrate some kind of public message. Remember road safety in india is at one of the lowest points. Not a lot of people bother but if people here are serious a great potential can be achieved from team-bhp so good can self loving potential be that it'd take years for ACI or some other media to do the similar. Now i know a lot of us live in parts of india and the world so all cant get together but just a little message in someway would be nice and also show a lot of dedication from the members of Team-Bhp. Also signify we're not a bunch of gear shifting rods who sit and post when they have nothing to do in life. But show that not only do we love cars but also would love to show the public the right path to their cars and driving them.

9) Time to Time if the moderators dont mind we can even have online get togethers and allow free suggestions from the users or also complaint if they have any.

10) a page for all goverment rules and regulations? Just few days back i was caught crossing a zebra line and i did not have my original licence but had the duplicate which the cops said is not valid so it'd be nice to have a sticky topic on that so we know if anyone's cheating us from the goverment side?

Well thats all, Now before i post this mods' and admins' please dont take any offence to any of what ive said. Not tryin to preach her just some thoughts i had. If you find any of the above offensive in any way im sorry and u cud just delete the thread. And to all users sorry man i made u read too much boring stuff. But it's been a dream since i even knew how to spell the word "CAR" that in India we have a community who can not only show off their wheels but also bring a change in road and traffic a potential i see greatly here in Team-Bhp not only due to the mods but a lot of users too, the question is how many of us would want to do some or all to help get the autos in the right place in the right way.ANd i know a lot of the above requires everyone's co-operation so if you guys want from my side Im up for anything for Team-Bhp and it's success and at this rate im sure soon we'll have other people immitating Team-Bhp.... but by the time they immitate the message board i hope we're way ahead for them to even wonder where to start

There honestly is no "legal status" awarded to even ACI and OD by the car manufacturers. Its all about recognition, and will come in due time as Team-BHP grows. This website however is regularly visited by the boffins from Mahindra & Mahindra, Honda and Maruti (Thats the only three I know as yet. Maybe some more).

I agree. Whenever I open up a freshly delivered car mag, I find that 99% of the news they report has already been covered by Team-BHP.

The chat, news and picture sessions will also arrive as soon as Team-BHP grows. Remember, we are only three months old and right now our priority is to have the message boards streamlined. It may not look so from the outside, but theres a helluva lot of work happening behind the scenes almost everyday.

Most of the rules are outlined in the announcements section. However, if we were to list every bit of dos and donts, it would take up an entire lifetime and not too many people would bother reading through them. Common sense is the best bet when it comes to posting on a car forum, but when in doubt..PM the moderators and your answer will be ready in less than 24 hours.

You can post pictures of women, but remember...no nudity or porn. Cars and women are after all the top 2 passions for any carguy.

There is a certain security issue associated with the same which I would rather not discuss out here. But NO, the option to delete topics will not lie with the members. At best, you can PM the moderators and they will do the needful within 24 hours, if found necessary.

At best, we can provide some links to websites that cover the same. At the same time, should an issue crop up, post a topic with your queries and I am certain it will be answered by all those knowledgeable.

Thank you immensly for your reply and also not taking things in a manner that was wrong, I dont know how to multiple quote so i'll just go with points hope i dont confuse you :-

1) The legal status issue it's nice to know even those mags which i believe dont even really deserve anything are not appointed with any legal status, but the recognition is it something u have to apply for? or does it come on its own? Just cant wait to have press releases sent to Team-Bhp

And also am very happy to see some guys from M&M,Honda and maruti come here, lol i think ill speak to some guys at DCIL abt this site

2) Ever seen such gorgeous pics of Mclaren and so many mercedes posts on ACI or any other mag? lol jus kidding but like i said this site is know it all for Indian car enthu's.

3) My business also has a website and it's not even so active still i know how much work goes behind doors and believe me i do understand how much u and the others have worked and are working i was not trying to say ur not working all i was doing is adding some thoughts and believe me i know u guys are doin a lot esp. sparing time from work etc. so hats off to all you backdoor dudes Let us members know if there is some help we can give dont intend to take ur privilages or duties just wud be of any assistance.

4) The rules i dont think i meant u put down every small rule and stuff all i mean is a few guide lines for eg. i was picked out earlier for few reasons for which in other forums i never was so i just meant a few rules like when u talk abt hot babes in some forums bikini pics and stuff is allowed but some places where i post they do not even permit that. so more then common sense it's more like particular situation at places. But yet ur call i'll try use some common sense

5) lol can u delete my thread on 3 things u cud change in the world? lol looks like no one cares abt those kinda posts nor do i blame em

S350, theres a button above where u type the msg saying "Quote" u just click that, paste what you want to quote, and click it again to end the quote. You can do this process repeatedly for multiple quotes.

I agree with GTO about not seeing the need to have every rule written down, it would just be way too much. The members here are intelligent and respectful, so things should continue to be fine for some time.
About whats considered ok and what isnt.....lets just say that we are trying to keep this site so that it could be accessed by a 12year old kids, without being a bad influence...
