Here is my newest friend, named him Pixel. This pic is when he was 40 days old. Right now he is 5 months old, will be posting his most recent pic soon.

He's a real terror sometimes, my dad aptly calls him a "vaccum cleaner". I guess most Labs are like this only. He has to put everything that he sees in his mouth. Loving every moment with him.

Have you named him yet?
Yes - he's named him C_N - his alter ego.

But practically, the poor fella overheats during summers - he becomes so much more sprightly after a hair cut. And I get to reduce my AC electricity bill too.

Marriage and trimming, huh?! You speak from experience - so I stand at a disadvantage there.

We had adopted 2 strays - one each for the 2 factories. One black and the other white and tan.

The W&T fellow is very sprightly and playful, jumping jack kinds and I don't know why when I saw him do his thing - I remembered SRK - so I named him Shahrukh

The Black guy is silent, strong types. He didn't like anyone (even Shahrukh) messing or playing with him. Always ready to bark and frighten people - I remembered Salman Khan (always ready for a fight) , so he is named Salman.

Now, as in Bollywood, Shahrukh and Salman are friends.

As for the latest fellow - I keep remembering Saif from Dil Chahta Hai when I watch his antics. So you never know - he might just be christened Saif.

And both Shahrukh and Salman have taken to him.

Nice picture of Pixel trance. He looks so damn cute. Labs are so adorable.

Sadly our companion of 11 years Justy, left for his heavenly abode on 30th of March. It is so painful that it is impossible to feel what one goes through. The house has become so empty that it kills you. He has left such a void that can never be filled. You dont feel like coming home at all because you realize hes not there to welcome you anymore. All our lives revolved around him. Now it feels there is nothing to do in the house. It is still so difficult to believe he isnt there anymore. I always feel he's sitting around in the house.

I hope he is well and happy wherever he is now. We miss him terribly. Here are some pictures of him in happy times.

Dippy,

Really saddened to hear about Justy. It is like loosing a family member. I lost my previous dog of 14 years and it was very painful.
RIP Justy.

Sorry to know that your 'furry buddy' is not long with you. But I'm sure whereever he is, he's probably jumping around & having a good time playing with other such doggies. If he used to be naughty at one point of time, all the more. Probably tugging at a bone, rolling around and basking in the sun.
These lil fellas are the best things in our lives. No matter what, they'll always stay in our hearts.Forever.

My precious gems... Leo & Joey.

So true.........but inspite of all this, we still go and pick up a new pup knowing very well that a couple of years down the line, we'd have to go through the same pain all over again.

I still haven't understood why we do it!!!

Those are some really nice pictures of all the buddies there . Especially Casper's pictures reminf me of Justy's childhood years. He did all the things that Casper may have done. Seeing these pictures make me miss Justy all the more :(

Commisserations, Dippy.

Our pet, Simba - a black lab - is just 10 months old and he is already integral to our family. 11 years of bonding, Phew! We can understand how you must have felt to lose your dear old Justy.
