WDM is a series of locomotive manufactured by Indian Railways.

That's great name - can you expand WDM - because, I am also fascinated by the abbreviations I see on these engines!

Our house was near the railway track, and there was a siding. Whenever any goods train used to halt in the siding, we used to run up to the steam engine - the engine driver was one of our heroes!

I grew up in Doha Qatar and studied at an American school. It was there, back in the early 90's, I was nicknamed the Eel as I was undefeated in dodge ball for more than 2 years in school and later I seemed to have this ability to steal the basketball from the other team and help score. That's when I got the nickname Slick. I always wanted an exclamation mark in my name but my dad laughed at the idea and my mum told me she would throw me out of the house if I ever did try to add that to my name!!! So I decided why not add it to my nick! and that's how I ended up with Slick!.:)

There is a good site related to Indian Railways, it is called a Fan Club:

[IRFCA] Indian Railways FAQ: Locomotives -- Specific classes : AC Electric

Hope this will help you ?

my user name was derrived from my companies name. it expands to we & we.

During college days, had a fascination for Japanese bikes (Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki). And when I came to know that these are family names I picked up letters from my full name to form a name similar to Japanese manufacturers. So 'sukiwa' was formed out of my full name. And when it was time to register for an auto forum here, choice for handle name was obviously 'sukiwa'.

I always loved the video game Need for Speed (NFS) and was really crazy driving all those cars and trying to win the race. Hence the name :), the numerals are personal though.

I love mechanic, used to sit with them if there is any fault and notice how they do. There is a mechanic friend to me with whom I used to roam in Chennai bunking the college. Hence my handle is known as "mech"

I love Lamborghinis...and hence 'the raging bull'

Much to my dismay, my nick does not show up like it should...it is supposed to look like this d*_*b...the face of a dude. Saw it somewhere, liked it, used it!

Rossi + fastest man on 2 wheels = The Doctor
Torque + Love for it = + Torque
= Doctorque

Pronunciation = Doc Torque.

abishek thalagavara = athalaga

Looking at the many user names in TBHP, me too wanted a good and interesting name. Also the name should be relating to my interests. Since exhaust note tells a lot about the engine and vehicle, I chose to use that.

Some day I hope to own a bike/ car whose exhaust_note is the only thing people manage to catch when I fly-by!!

Now on, I am planning to stick to this name for all online registration :)

- Cheers ...
