Team-BHP

My name originated from NFS(Porsche Unleashed).Used to play it like crazy when in school/college.There was driver profile with the name Frazer, I used to use this profile name in all the subsequent NFS series. Coincidently NFS MostWanted had a villian named Razor, and i kind of liked it, as in F.. Razor.Started using it with a little twist adding Fraz3r, TeamBHP invite failed with first one, hence just added Fraz33r; and thats the origin of it.
I was mad about ford Ikon during 2004-2006 so took out Josh from JOSH MANCHINE and Guy because I am a GUY :)
JOSHGUY
Mine is simple.. its the first letters from my real name. (not too hard to guess)
I took inspiration from a robot in a videogame that I played many years ago. The robot was called 'Pyros' meaning 'fire'.
Hello Friends,
I have this rare 1951 Jawa Perak hence the username.
The First four alphabets makes my first & sur name..!! Easy...!
My name is Venkatesh and I am a man so venkman .....no I saw this movie ghostbusters in which there is a charecter Venkman and I still remember the song in the movie, that was a long time back) and hence the name Venkman to give it a modern/western touch.....:deadhorse
It is the planform shape of the main wings of the machine I used to fly...first Mach 2 machine in the world...just love it!

can't be Mig-27, Mig-29 or Sukhoi coz they've the swept wing design for supersonic flight. did you fly the Mig-21 or the Mirage 2000? or were you a test pilot for the LCA program?
For me it was simple - I stay in Chennai and I'm an Indian so chennai-indian!!
I "Love" to do things "Fast" .I drive FAst too. So - FastLove .
It also is one of my favorite songs by George Michael .
Simple - It's my name :)

True that MiG-27, MiG-29 or Sukhoi have the swept wing design for supersonic flight. But then so do most of the fighter planes in the world. The Mirages are tailless delta and the MiG-21 has a (swept) delta planform with a mainplane too. And also, supersonic flight started way before the aircraft you mention. In fact, MiG-21 is the first Mach 2 aircraft in the world. Also, you can't have a delta for a supersonic planform without a massive degree of sweep in the wing design.

OT:
i beg to differ. MiG-21 was not the first aircraft in the world to cross the Mach 2 barrier. it was the NACA's (now known as NASA) number two D-558-2 Skyrocket - it was able to achieve Mach 2.005 at 62,000 ft (18,915 m) on 20 November 1953, thereby becoming the first aircraft to exceed Mach 2.
this was followed by the Bell X-1A reaching Mach 2.43 in December 1953 and later the X-2 reaching Mach 3.19 (2,094 mph), September 1956
Ye-4 (prototype of MiG-21) was the first fighter/interceptor to cross Mach 2. MiG-21 officially went in to production in 1959.
btw, you still didn't say which one is it that you flew :)

In bold print, you said it yourself, skyrocket, not aircraft (since propulsion is unconventional). Those are experimental vehicles. Also, there isn't any Mach 2 barrier, the barrier is only Mach 1 (which was crossed by Chuck Yeager in 1947 in an X-1 but I'm sure you know that). Ye-4 or MiG-21, prototype names notwithstanding, I was talking about the planforms. And I think I've answered what I flew (one of those) already if you're careful with the small print. All in all, let's not display our knowledge of aerospace here, eh? This thread means to display how people chose their usernames. Thanks.
