I think these ads are terrible - they associate a slightly dark complexion with failure, poor marriage, etc.

Someone should tell them that it is an African American who is now going to be the President of the biggest Democracy in the world.

Yeah! Actually I thoght it was a TATA ad in the beginning of the ad. Actually TATA could use this ad for Sumo if it was still here :)

If you tune in to the music channel 'etc' after midnight, you will see ads of a call girl service being aired with the background song 'Tu, Tu hain wahin'.
Also ads of escort services and erotic/sensual massages are being published on the classified pages of leading newspapers.

Speaking about fairness creams giving a boost to your career, helping you in getting better flames etc. how can we forget the ads of detergents which increase the whiteness of your clothes and are shown to serve the same purposes mentioned above.

It was all started by Mahashay Chuni Lal in Sialkot (my ancestral town, now part of Pakistan).

There are a number of MDH ads featuring this Pagdi aur Moochh Wale Baba!
Another ad (of Dant Manjan) wherein this old man is rubbing his teeth with tooth-powder and then gives a 440 V smile. There is also a alarm cock in the background. :uncontrol
