Mahindra & Mahindra to be title sponsors of SLPL

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has accepted the title sponsorship offer of the inaugural Sri Lanka Premier League Twenty20 tournament.

The Mahindra player of the tournament will receive an XUV500 that will be displayed at the venues right through the league that will be played from August 11 to 31.

There could be earlier versions also, but what I can recall is, this idea was first introduced in late 90s by Hero Honda in the HERO cup and every man of the match was getting a CBZ, which incidentally I also own, but I was never the man of any match!

what SLPL lacks in Indian cricket players is made up by the team and tournament sponsors. Why is India Inc so kind to SL ?
