Microsoft, Fiat to roll out onboard car-data system

Now there's a scary though. But the microsoft software isn't controlling any of the critical functions of the car. Just "onboard information and communications systems". Atleast for now.

Didnt Microsoft already have a tie-up with a German car manufacturer for their on-board software? BMW? VW?

BMW, Merc and I think even Ferrari use Motorola chips and software..my colleague working in that division was telling me that over the weekend they get to test their softwares u know what i mean right... I think audi and lexus is also in this group..man..what fun does this guy have..

i am not soo sure about ferrari..but all the other positive..
