Bosch has opened a Do It Yourself Square (DIY Square) in Bangalore in conjunction with their partner Kayvee Associates. I think they are launching similar DIY square across all the major cities.

This is like a lounge where all the latest Bosch tools are displayed for customers who can try it out and can also buy it from this store. Very nice and cool place to check out all the hobby and professional tools like Home, Garden, General, Dremel, Fun tools for Kids as well to learn.

They were also offering discounts on purchases and I managed to pick up a cordless screwdriver that came with some 10 standard bits.

The store timing is 10 am to 6 pm (not sure if its open on weekends). The direction to go this place is once you go on Bannerghatta road past diary circle, you will get a mosque on your left side and this store is around the 5th building from the mosque on your left side. Parking is a problem as it is located right on the main road.

If you are using a 2wheeler to reach this place, go further down and take the right into the Bosch factory, which has ample parking space for the 2 wheeler category. For 4 wheelers though you can take the right at the signal after diary circle into the Adugodi link road and park in the factory premises at gate nr, 4 (A narrow lane between the Bosch sports ground and the Bosch bus stand) which is too crowded these days and walk down, a good 1 km for sure to reach this place. The plus side is however peace of mind as your rides are in safe hands.
Inform the guy manning the parking lot that you are visiting someone at the main plant or you may be scouted out.

Its a good concept and people can feel the equipment and decide before purchasing. Thanks for sharing.

Looking at the title I was excited thinking it is a fully equipped garage which will be rented out on hourly basis or likes to DIY guys. Most of the DIY guys do not have or can not afford all the equipment required for many things. It would be nice if someone opens up a fully equipped garage with some kind of rental where DIY guys can work on the car from washing to painting.
