re: Kick - Mumbai's 1st Outdoor Football Arena

Facility looks damn impressive. Must be quite a "kick" to be playing there

Seems like a busy place, going by their Facebook page.

Thanks for sharing! Have forwarded this to my brother (who is big on Football) and friends (whose boys are footballers).

Its a "Futsal" field. Usually, the field is much smaller than the "Football"/Soccer fields. See here for more details - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futsal

Hey GTO,

The place has been opened up by a friend of mine. They just opened not even a month back and it has been quite busy, they have even been holding quite a few tournaments already and have tied up with the Man U student soccer training program. In fact it is located right behind my house and can see it from my window and i see the floodlights on every night.

Yes bond bhai you are right this is a Futsal field which is different from a regular football field and the game also has different rules which are also posted up on their facebook link.

My bad i have mentioned football arena in the heading instead of futsal, mods request you to kindly amend.

Regards,
VVB

Re: Kick - Mumbai's 1st Outdoor Football Arena

Looking at the 1st pic itself i recognised the building since i work in the adjacent complex but never noticed this till now. Though not a football fan, i guess this can be used for corporate tournaments. Will try to go and check it out when free from work.

Thanks.

You can't compare their sizes. This one's quite small.

My friends regularly play at the Malad Inorbit Astroturf ground.

5 player teams.
Rs.2000/- per match (can be played as "Loser's Pay" format or friendly)

It is quite an enjoyable experience.
Any football lovers out there must definitely give it a try once!

Wonder what are the rates here. I reckon they will be quite steep given it is quite state-of-the-art and looks modern indeed.

That looks fantastic. Must be fun to go play there in the night, under the lights. So how much would it cost to book a place like that for say a couple of hours? Any idea? Wish we had a place like that here in Hyd. Haven't played in a million years and am in no shape now to play but would definitely love a kick about, just target practice I suppose.

1600/- per hour during the day and 2000/- per hour during the night i.e. with floodlights. There is also a monthly package for 30hrs at 5000/-

Re: Kick - Mumbai's 1st Outdoor Football Arena

Would definitely like to give this a try. 1600 per hour for a group of 10 is reasonable for a seemingly state of the art facility.

Brazil and Italy are known as the masters of Futsal, giving us Indian football fans some of the most amazing football tricks we've seen. The contribution of this place towards football awareness and talent building can't be underestimated. Only hoping this isn't introductory pricing.

Re: Kick - Mumbai's 1st Outdoor Football Arena

There is one more facility on the roof top of the R City mall too. I didnt get to read the details since I was in a hurry but there are banners in the mall advertising the facility.

This one is closer to home, maybe I will check it out in a couple of days.
