Why the fascination with foreign labels?

Dear all,

I dont understand this... our fascination with Foreign lables . . on our indian cars. . . innnumerable no. of times i have seen a MARUTI with a FERRARI lable on it. . . .or just stickers of BREMBO, NOS stuck on cars. . .
This thought totally baffles me . . .
can you gus put some logic in the same.

Recently he got the front bumper also cut in similar way.....

kp where does the parachute come out from? Or is that what the bumper has been so artfully reworked for?

Then, he needs skis.

Maybe its just that those stickers make them 'feel' they have a fast car. IMO its just low if u've got stickers of stuff u don't have in ur car.

An acqaintance uses his car as the backgound for a collage of all the possible big brand name stickers (including stuff which have nothing to do with cars like marlboro...!.)

if you ask people like him why they like to deface their cars , oh i think it breaks the monotony of the car ........comes a quick reply !!!

someone tell em that there is'nt any 'monotony' in the lines of a car that needs to be broken !!!!!!!

I have seen so many cars with stickers of Sony, kenwoord, Pioneer on the rear wind-shield. maan, why would anybody declare the brand of their stereo like that.

but the funniest one i have seen was on a pulsar. It declared it to be a 4*4. Four wheel drive in a two-wheeler. ***.....
