Saw the movie this weekend.

i'm really struggling here to think of something good to say about it! The superbikes were used for show value only. The only shots of them were taken with them slowly moving at probably 50 Kmph, but ofcourse, their speedo's were showing 240 and above! sheesh! Oh yea, the burst of NOS propels them to 300kmph plus...but it still looks like they are doing 60!!

Seriously, if they were so afraid of getting the bikes broke, they should have just not made the movie! Anyways, the bikes were ridden just 3 times...adn it looked plain ridiculous!

If you are going to watch the movie for the bikes or any stunts...forget it. But, there's really no other reason why its worth watching really, so save your money!

Oh yea, one funny part, Uday Chopra (who is supposed to be a hot shot mechanic) goes to help a chick when her car breaks down. He opens the bonnet and starts tinkering. Sounds fine right? Well, the car in question happened to be a Toyota MR-S...which is mid engined!!

Dhoom is ok. Much better than Tarzan, anyday!!!

Yes the chases were horribly slow. U can make out the speed by looking at how fast the white lines on the road move. I've seen my Vtec gobble those lines faster than the bikes. LOL.

The NOS part wasn't that great, looked very artificial when the bike took off.
Yup the speedo was registering 220+ with AB standing on the bike, trying to shoot JA on his Hayabusa.

From what i've heard, at those speeds, even lifting your head and sitting up can cause you to be thrown off the bike. AB surely has some strong feet. LOL

Songs??? What songs???

The movie isn't as good as i'd expected, blame Hollywood for that. The stunts and the chases were supposed to be the in thing for this movie and that's exactly where they lost it all.

Oh yeah the Speed Boat jump across the Truck is worth a watch.

Regards...

Hahaha thart was the first thing i noticed when the song started . Thanks heavens it was an MRS. If they showed a 355 with the front opened up I would sue them. Apart from that the Busa jump over the train was actually a CBZ in Busa disguise.

And seeing Uday Chopra doing a wheelie was real funny since I was present at the Reclaimation shoot.. saw him in a wheelie position on the truck hehehe.

How ever the one thing i liked in the movie was the opening titles where the focus was a close up on the bikes... brake discs et all.. and oh yeah Rimii in the opening song...

That wasn't Raima .. that was Rimi !

Anyway, I thought the movie really sucked. If you want to copy from hollywood movies, at least try and do something better with it.

The whole Oceans Eleven type casino vault robbing plot was messed up by the stupid manner in which they finally rob it: they rent a room thats incidently directly on top of the vault, so they cut a portion of the floor and go down and steal the money and get back up. Eh???

In the end, the main fight takes place on a truck top a-la Matrix Reloaded. What happened to the grand finale bike chase which sort of happens to be the heart of the movie? But wait , after the truck tiff they get onto their respective bikes, spew some venomous dialogues and get us ready for a superturbonoscharged mother of all bike chases (at least in that movie) and then john abraham shifts into the first and goes straight into the water and the movie ends.

The least they could have done is try and lift the filmi MI:2 sequence in which Tom Cruise points a gun at the guy chasing him and aims by looking into the rear-view mirror and fires LOLOLOL I was on the floor after watching that ! hahahahahah its filmi enough to be bollywood!!

OK. Getting this thread alive as another "so called CAR MOVIE " coming up.

Ta Ra Rum Pum - with Saif playing a NASCAR driver. Seems they shot on actual NASCAR tracks. Now lets wait and see how much liberty is taken with NASCAR racing.

You have to love that name - Ta Ra Rum Pum! I can just see the creative head that thought of that!

First they had the never ending names. Then came the one word names (Black, Boom, etc) and now the name that is not even a word! ***

Saw the promos of that movie, and the music made me think it was on the lines of 'Salaam Namaste'. Having Rani in the movie already has made me begin to hate it (doesnt mean i wont watch it!!).

The NASCAR sequencs should be interesting.
