It's interesting how in this media ruled world, something needs to be reported to be seen as happening. The IAF, specially the chopper fleet has been in the forefront of all Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief activities in the country. Be it floods, people stuck in cable cars, fires or dropping commandos, the IAF does it on a regular basis. For the record, there are still areas in the North East which are maintained totally by our choppers as are many posts of the army.

Neel, I dont think the blame should not fall fully on media. They just show things which get maximum eyeballs. I personally feel the content in any news show has decreased over the past few years in the run to get maximum viewership, end of the day theirs is also a business and profit is what matters. Ethics has taken a backseat for the same. There was a video on Youtube where a local reporter has climbed on a man standing waist deep in river water and talking to camera. Iam not sure what he tried to achieve from that.

Bang on! But at the same time, the media feeds news hungry people what they want to see/hear. So the blame is as much ours than theirs!
