Starting this thread for all old documents/photos. We have wonderful threads for vintage cars (which I have browse through several times) but none for pictures of old photos / documents. Those get my juices flowing just as much.

Finding something in the house which dates back to the 1907's pr 80's if not older does feel wonderful. I had a few albums of my house being built in the 1920's I believe as my grandfather's brother was a photographer - and captured most of the construction of the house (My grandfather built the house). Unfortunately they are with a cousin now and getting them back may be difficult.

For now these are 2 bills I found for some jewelry purchased in 1982

Alright, you want old, here is something really old.

The invitation card of my great grand parents wedding that took place in 1913. It is mostly in Kannada, but the year should be readable.

This invitation is 100 years old, beat that!

A bicycle purchase bill from 1993: Hero Hawk single-speed for Rs 1,440. I sold the bike in 2013 for Rs 500.

This is a delightful thread. Just the right one for older set like me.

Now I am motivated to go dig up stuff. Some auto related papers of the 1990s came tumbling out. But that's not long enough. So dug dug dug and here are two.

Insurance of my first vehicle, a Lambretta scooter. This was my 4th year with this twice pre-owned phut-phut. Last drove it in April 1994 after which it was given away. As I didn't earn very much only third party insurance was taken at the princely sum of Rs 48/= (about Rs 600 today).

Delhi Tax token of the same Lambretta DIZ 18XX. Paying this was a pain. Long waits, make use of a dalal etc. I was too junior to have help/peons. Delhi's roads in those days were still as broad as they are today with literally 1/10th or 1/20th the traffic.
