I've seen this b'fore. it's either a painting or a photoshop work. While one half of the pic is below you, the other is shown to be above. It's just a creative work with perspective in mind.

There are some more art works like this, you must have seena few where a lot of stairs are involved and they keep going in all directions, right leaft, upside down, diagonal etc. It's a creative thing.

I'll post some pics done by him soon. Need to scan them. What and how he did all his stuff those days is still a mystry to all who works on complex comp graphics images now.

Wasn't Escher a mathematician? Nobody ever seems to talk about him anymore. I know, i spent days in school getting psyched by his work. Then i realised that he took much of the mathematical logic and applied it to art, and voila, it worked darn well. He is my favourite artist, above even those Venetian ones. I always respect things more that i cannot explain.
Crazy stuff, given a choice between Paul Frere's 911 Story and a book on M.C. Escher's book on his work, i'd have a tough time choosing but i would probably end up picking Escher's work.
