Yeah this is over now and I want NZ to lift the cup. Go Kiwis!!
I'm a li'l surprised at the Rahane dismissal!!
I didn't know the 'snicko' would be considered the ultimate tool. The stump mic didn't pick it up, the cameras didn't pick up any deviation or change in the spin of the ball!!
Dhoni goes. Farewell!
EDIT: It is Jadeja. Apologies! Not sure what was the confusion there.

All over now. Dhoni is done.
India's chase felt like a BMW in Bangalore traffic. Never really got going.
So Bookies prediction for margin of defeat coming dangerously close.
To loose a match is one thing but to be humiliated in the process in another. At least SA returned home with head held high.

I don't know why we are surprised by this result, I am not. I don't follow cricket but I am told that India was soundly thrashed by Australia before the WC started. In my view the only reason we got as far as we got was because we did not run into Australia sooner.

India has/would too. Not just SA.
They played well throughout the tournament! We weren't labelled among the potential teams to be in the QFs you see!
India defeated all teams convincingly till the semi finals. And we should be proud of them!
The better team won today. Doesn't make the ones who lost 'shameful'!
Kohli will face a lot of flak. That's for sure. Anushka flew to Sidney just to witness him drop a catch, bowl an over and score 1 run. :p
Well played Team India! Never thought we would reach this far without losing a single match. I agree with Harsha's tweet:
Dhoni would be eager to depart and meet his newborn baby I guess. If only wishes were horses - I would really want him to continue till the 2019 world cup but that would never happen. He will retire on a high note.
EDIT: Looks like Dhoni wouldn't be retiring soon! He is looking to play the 2016 T20 world cup going by the tweets! clap:
@navin there is something about India vs Australia. They always know how to not only defeat us but do that by a mile!
@Divya yes we did defeat all the teams but to be fair only SA of the lot was a strong team.
I just wish we had lost after giving a bit more fight.
Yes, India lost today. Yes, we have relinquished our World Cup.
But this was a very different World Cup from the one we'd expected.
A lot of people, me included, didn't think India would go past the group stages given their horrible form a few months prior to the World Cup. Also, our bowling was toothless.
After the World Cup, we have reached the Semi Finals, undefeated. We have bowled out our oppositions on 7 consecutive matches. We have also learnt to not be overly reliant on Virat Kohli. To those abusing Virat, even Sachin Tendulkar didn't perform in the 2003 World Cup Final.
To me, yes, given our momentum in the World Cup, we'd have liked a different result. But given our run before the World Cup, we got a lot more than we would've expected.
As for Dhoni, I hope he sticks around until the 2019 World Cup. What a remarkable player.
Well played Team India. You can hold your heads up high, pat yourselves on the back and be proud of yourselves.

As i had apprehended before we weren't really tested in the last 4 games & the result is there to see today.

Wasn't it Ravi Shastri who was boasting about this Indian team beating Australia in Australia after the first 2 games! Where is he now?:D But yes he's done a good job as director/motivator of the team.

Actually, it's potentially his last match today

Where did that come from? He didn't say it during the press conference atleast!

Spot on!:thumbs up
Yeah and I don't think this is a humiliation at all. We played well considering we were really bad before the WC started.
Anyways - looks like social media is up against arms of Anushka visiting to watch the match today. Even abusing her. :Frustrati

That was my fear, written before the press conference. Thankfully no such indications but he's not known to drop any hints :)
