And Imran Tahir pulls off a maiden over!!.. Guptill just needs to rotate strike. Not much he needs to do
Edit: Baz is out. NZ should play sensibly now and not like Shahid Afridi.
Big Guns Amla and Williamson could not fire today.
SA back in game - firmly. NZ is 2 down at 81. One more wicket and it will be really difficult for NZ.
Guptill and Taylor building a nice partnership here. Can NZ pull it off?
Oops - I cursed them. Guptill run out.

Looks like luck is indeed in favor of the SA. NZ would need 298 runs in their 43 overs to go through to the final acc. to the D/L method. Looks like this time, for a change, NZ is on the receiving end against the ever unlucky SA. |
I contradict that as the more runs you score, the more difficult it would be for the opponents to defend all their 10 wickets against the target score! Going by the run rate the South African's were at 43 overs, I would say that they could have safely scored 340+! Defending this score against 10 batsmen is easy than defending 280 against 10 batsmen!
It must be some sort of nostalgic feeling for the South African's with the number 43! Here is why!

Yes, agree to it. In the meanwhile, NZ has lost 3rd wicket. Now, they need to score 166 more runs in 26 overs with 7 wickets remaining @6.4 RPO. It is not going to be easy. I have a feeling that SA will get through.

Two more wickets, SA will have an upper hand! I really want SA to win this match!
Whatta match.. worthy of a semi final :)
FOUR down!
Unless NZ choke horribly from here, this one will be close. Finally a game where the result isn't a given after first bat.
Poised as 65-35 for me. 65=SA! One more wicket within 20-25 runs and they should sail through. What a moment will it be for SA!
I am surprised that RRR around 7 is said to be tough. I would say it is like a walk in the park. But yes wickets only matter. McCullum has made sure that atleast his team won't struggle with RR throughout the chase. If someone observes, both the teams look pretty nervous. Whatta match.
Right now 60:40 in favour of NZ as they bat deep, RRR is nothing imposing and small ground.
One thing for sure, I won't be as much happy for the team winning as much sad for the team losing. Cruelty of Sport.
PS- As the performance till the SFs is considered for Player of the Tournament so any guesses. No one seems head above shoulders from the rest. If SL would've reached SFs and even lost that, Sangakkara would've won that award easily.
NZ are coping surprisingly well. If they get through another 5 overs without a wicket, SA will panic.
NZ doing well to swing the balance in their favor now. This will go down to the wire. From here on, it's a battle of nerves - who ever holds it better.
ABD bowling?! Don't recall the last time he did that. Isn't he a wicket keeper as well? :p
It looks like it is NZ's game from now on! Rain played spoil sport for SA. :Frustrati
