Now this is getting interesting, there will be four real tough teams in the semi finals and hope we come to see some nail biting contests in the upcoming matches which hasn't been the case so far in this World Cup xcept few exceptions like Aus-NZ.

Sometime I question the basic sanity and common sense of people like Afridi. He knew the batting powerplay would start next over. All he had to do was to play that one out and hit out when there are lesser fielders on the boundary, but no....

Sigh.... Is this his last international innings ?

Reg. Afridi, yes, he had announced retirement from ODI format after WC2015. So , this could be his last innings in ODI. But he has done it a few times before as well lol:

Also, do you guys remember that bearded Pakistani Supporter, called Chacha or something, who had said that he will not support Pakistan anymore and is supporting India in this WC. He's in the crowd chanting for Pakistan againlol:

I really really do not want us to meet a third grade team like Pakistan in the Semis. We should play the best (Aus) and beat the best to win the world cup! Absolutely no point in playing Pakistan again.

My dream is to beat Aus in Semis and then NZ in the final to retain the cup. These are only two big teams we are yet to play so it will be nice to play them instead of Pak or SA.

But, India-Pakistan seems to be the dream Semi Final for many in the country(and this thread) as they believe that India would easily beat Pakistan and get hammered against Australia.

Although I think if Pakistan are somehow able to get past Australia then they would be tough to beat.

Defending 200 against the Aussies looks difficult but...stranger things have happened. The Aussie batting has Warner and Finch at the top and Maxi down the order - all others havent fired conclusively yet. SO there may be a chance if the pakis bowl with discipline and more importantly keep Akmal away from any catches :D

Aussies are favorites as of now.

All out with one delivery remaining of their quota! But must add that Pak has done well to reach 213 from the situation they were throughout the game. No big contribution from anyone, all tidbits from the middle order. To make a game out of this, they must pick up some early Aussie wickets. My patriot heart says that it will be better for us to meet Pak in SF, but then the head says that Ind should be able to beat the best to be real world Champs! And if Ind beat & knock out the Aussies in the SF game, then all the sins of last 3-4 months would be washed! Perfect revenge it would be!

As I mentioned in my previous post, the least fav teams as per TBhp polls are going out one by one and importantly in one sided games, so we are going to see nerve wrecking Semi-finals between strong teams. So doesn't this format is turning out to be good enough to bring out the best team as the winning team has to win three knockout games in a trot.
