Preetam, you should have actually zoomed in better for a better pic. This one is quite distant, and doesnt really capture the car too well.

Deepak yes you definitely made a mistake. While parking like this you gotto switch on the parking lights .

I can see someone standing behind the gypsy and an elderly person in the gypsy. Next time around ensure that other than the gypsy no one else is in the frame.

Also try and shoot in such a way that it makes the subject look interesting.
Check some of the previous pages in this thread will give you a fair idea.

Hey Riju,
Thanks for your comments!
I had actually switched on the parking lights.
But, with already a new camera, my hand reflexes could not match to click a picture when the parking lights came on. Phew, too many parameters

That's my dad sitting in the car. In future, I shall ensure that there is nobody in the car. The person behind the Gypsy, i do not know who he is. Must be a pedestrian or a morning walker.

Ok Riju. Thanks! I shall try and do it the next time.
I simply loved Pavan's beetle pictures that you and Hari have shot!

@Otomobil: Thank you buddy!

Cheers,
Deepak

Thanks clevermax.
I enjoy your pictures very much.
I do not know, but somehow my pictures are not even close anywhere to the pictures that you guys post here. Your pictures feel so real!
Any tips on what i could do to improve the pictures? Is this something that one is able to acheive by doing post processing?
Cheers,
Deepak

Deepak please don't go into Post processing right away. I would say get the compositions right first. Once you are good at it, then your PP would simply be to set the curves and saturation right.

An old shot, just to give you an example

The Auto-Image thread-3203027172_898619e85b_b.jpg

If you see the PP is more of only adding the sepia look to the shot and setting the curves to suit the kind of result I had in mind. Unless the shot is well composed there is little you could do to make it look better.

Just browse the 1st few pages of this thread and you can see some excellent compositions.

Dear Riju,
Thanks a lot for your advise.
I shall definitely try and work towards improving my compositions.

Brilliant! Those clouds seem like 3D and it feels like the Baleno would come out of the monitor. Really, fantastic shot!

Yes Riju. I get your point.
Thanks once again.

Deepak
