Where has the Members List gone?

Where has the Members List gone? Some link says access to it was disabled to prevent spamming. How would a Members List invite spamming?

I, for one, found this feature pretty useful, and I would be glad to see it back. Anyone else?

ps. Hope I see this thread tomorrow!

yea i agree it was useful i wonder why its gone missing.

maybe cause of the new membership level thingy.

That's right. Since the vBullletin software is a wellknown forum software, there are spambots that automatically navigate through member list to send junk/spam/spyware emails.

Even I miss that feature. Maintaining webs is becoming more like maintaining airports these days, security nightmare.

Just disable the email feature naa...hide it. Can't be that tough, or can it?

It was a very useful feature. Why dont they take out the email ids from it? Or hide it like v1p3r suggested?

Spamming was done not only via email, but also PMs. Only about 6 members had received spam PMs till now, but I can assure you that it was only a beginning.

To prevent spamming by automated softwares, the memberslist has been taken off.
