Awaiting my Red Baron Fokker Triplane and shall look for a Messerschmitt BF109 as well as the old Lufthansa Silver Corrugated Junkers if I can get one of those too.
That Lufthansa Junkers fuselage is what inspired the corrugated aluminium design of the world famous Rimowa 'Flight' suitcases.

de Havilland Mosquito the fore father of todays fast strike aircraft. A documentary on the Mosquito for the viewing pleasure of those interested. If I were to be asked to list the 5 greatest designs of WW2 the Mosquito would undoubtedly be on it.

To me it would be yes, the Mosquito with its light wooden frame and that evil 20mm cannon in the wings.
The Hawker Hurricane, the Supermarine Spitfire, the Messerschmitt 109, the frightening Stuka dive bombers, the ME 262 and later, the Komet.
All these were superb.
I ve seen them all at RAF Hendon in North London, then at Udvar Hazy in DC, the Smithsonian aviation museum along the Mall near the Washington monument and at the Airforce museum at Dayton Ohio.
Wonderful aircraft. All Beautifully preserved at these world famous museums.

Wiped out its undercarriage and wheel struts.
Delivery Pilot error. Clearly. Ham handed at the controls.
I ve taken it up with the Air War Ministry at Amazon USA immediately.

Oh my God. This is sad. Dont let them Yanks get away. In the meantime I suspect you could fix it with your not inconsiderable skills. I am assuming all the damaged parts are with you in the box.

Tiny parts. Beyond easy repair.
Have hangared the aircraft for now.
So Narayan I finally bought the Red Baron Scale Model early this week on a trip to Australia and brought it home myself rather than reorder it from Amazon and risk another breakage.

Congratulations. This seems like a model with better finish than the one that crash landed due to amazon hydraulics malfunction. Looking forward to more photos. Feel free to show off. :D

Same company - Daron Postage Stamp models. Same finish etc.
Just that Amazon packed it in a stupid yellow envelope and sent it from America and it got squashed and broken en route. Idiots.
That too when Amazon India sent me a flat sticker for my Gypsy which was packed in bubble plastic and came in a box!
Ridiculous that they cant apply the same standard packaging rules across the world for different types of products!
Saying that the cost of the broken one was refunded to my credit card as soon as I complained.
The new replacement of course I packed amongst my soft shirts and brought back in my checked in hard suitcase.
I ll post more pics soon once I assemble it.

You can now display Herr von Richthofen in the 'before' and 'after' modes.stupid: You may know that Thomas Sopwith the brain & entrepreneur behind the famous Sopwith fighters of WW-I later changed his company's name to Hawker. He died as recently as 1989 at over 100 years of age.
Mig-21 bis. Every time I tried to buy a Mig-21 I couldn't find one with the IAF markings. So I had this custom made to the Mig-21 Bison configuration. Sorry the pictures are not sharp. Model is 19" long.

I usually go there for a bit when in Singapore. Beautiful Tintin memorabilia.
Scale model of the Boeing B-29 bomber. This one is the Enola Gay that gained fame/infamy (depending on your point of view) as the one that dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima.

The B-29 was designed to bomb Japanese homeland islands from Pacific Islands a long way off. It carried a maximum bomb load of 9 tonnes and 10 0.5 inch heavy machine guns for defence. The B-29 had a combat radius (hi-hi-hi) of around 1240 nautical miles (~2300 kms) with reserves. She was powered by 4 Wright turbo-charged radials developing 2200 hp each at full gallop. Full speed of 310 knots (575 kmph) which for 1945 was very fast. Till 1941 the legendary Spitfire barely did a scratch more.
The B-29 basic design spawned several other families of big aircraft - the B-50 an improved bomber; KB-29 worlds first production aerial refueling tanker ; C-97 military cargo carrier; Boeing 377 passenger transport and a Russian copy the Tupolev Tu-4
