Vehicle owners prosecuted for loud music, DVD screen

The Delhi Traffic Police has prosecuted many Blueline bus drivers for playing loud music while driving and car owners for installing DVD screens in the front panel of cars in the last three days.

The police have also asked bus owners to remove tape recorders, radios and similar devices from their buses. According to the police, the drivers play loud music causing annoyance and nuisance to the passengers and causes embarrassment and harassment to female passengers.

The traffic police has also asked private car owners to remove DVDs from their vehicles while driving as it distracts others. The cops have prosecuted 1,501 Blueline bus drivers this year up to Monday and 831 of these were prosecuted in last three days.

Taking action against private car owners, 37 private cars have been prosecuted for using DVD screens in the front panel. The offence attracts a fine of Rs 100 for the first time and Rs 300 for the second time. "The drive against Blueline buses was recently launched and it will go on for another few weeks as we have received a number of complaints against them," said a senior traffic cop.

While i agree with the cops on loud music. it sure is a nuisance to others...but LCD screens!! ''Distracting others''!! Oh! come'on!!

Its usual to see our cops go overboard. First thing they dont understand whats what. They just go about implementing a rule which they themselves dont have a clue!

money making getting more simpler now for them, when stop ur car for no reason they might look inside and now watch out for screen (thier new source of income)
