Nice Thread!
I am more of a passive user of Team-BHP (don't usually post/comment), but have it up and running on my computer, all day long. :)

Couldn't stop myself in leaving a reply here.

What I do on the site may seem to be a bit funny:

1. GTO - Find All Posts by GTO
A bit of fan following here. I love to see GTO's comments and responses to most topics discussed here.

And then some other mods as well :)

2. New Car reviews : The level of detail and quality of these reviews never fail to amuse me!

3. Rest of the stuff (in random order) : Home Page, Classifieds, Indian Auto Scene, etc.

For me, its a daily ritual to keep the team-bhp site open in one of my tabs at work. I keep refreshing it for 3-4 times in a day to catch the latest stuff.

Most visited sections are the Latest News and Hot Threads. Read whatever i find interesting and one thing that i really like are the forum discussions linked to the news articles, provides instant insights on what the members think about the news. Ofcourse a new official review is right at the top of the reading list and can't miss it at any cost.

The other sections I visit are need based like Travelogues mainly and if I am planning to make any changes to my car, then the relevant sections.

My usual search pattern revolves around these sub-forums/threads in the following order :

I usually go to Google search page and type the following:

" team bhp 'NAME OF PARTICULAR TOPIC or CAR'"

I then open the desired page, and first thing I do after that is opening home page in a new window from that very page.

I also curiously look for travelogue, new announcements and new reviews. Of course, each month after 5th, I start looking for last month sales figures!

Thanks

1. Check news section
2. Check new car reviews
3. Check the motor cycle section
4. Go through the hot threads and read what interests me.
5. Go through the site as many times in a day to check for updates.
6. Subscribe to topics that I am interested in.

I start with the subscriptions page (not there as a link in the team-bhp page any longer. Why?) and then move on to Hot Threads/ New Posts / New topics if time permits, in that order.

The first and most obvious section that I visit:

Motorbikes

Then I hunt for long-term review, rebuilds, DIY threads and what not, until I get shocked by the clock. :)

My usual surfing pattern on T-Bhp revolves around these sub-forums/threads in the following order :
  1. New Topics
  2. New Posts
  3. Shifting Gears
  4. Travelogues

And I usually end up getting lost in shifting gears section. stupid:

After finishing up in shifting gears section, again I come back to forum main page & repeat the sequence.:D

Love the Indian Car Scene and Shifting Gears sections. Apart from the Official Reviews section of course.

The Shifting Gears section especially provides a wide range of perspectives on an equally wide range of topics. Pretty much guaranteed that if you have any interests outside automobiles, there would be a thread discussing that with member inputs and views already in place for you to read up. :thumbs up

I go to the homepage. As I had no membership since last 7 years this habit is in muscle memory now. lol: I look for hot threads first, then go to travelogues.
I do make it a point to check out threads of my interest like Ace's Fortuner (Atlantis), Navsjab's / Black Pearl's Thar etc.

Now that I am a member, I also go to User CP.
