Curious to know how BHPians spend their time on Team-BHP. Where do you start?

I usually start with the new topics first, but I list them from the admin backend as it lists threads in the exact order that they were created. Then I go through each new thread on Team-BHP.

Those that really interest me from the list above, I reply on.

I then spend some time on the homepage as I like to see how each 'hot thread' is doing. This also helps me choose what goes on the homepage (and equally important - what doesn't). Biggest challenge is creating hot thread titles within the 30 - 31 character limit :).

I almost never click on new posts. If there are old threads that I'm interested in, I've already subscribed to them (email updates).

Do you start your Team-BHP journey on the website homepage? Or forum homepage? Hot threads? Individual forum sections of your interest? New topics? New posts? Subscriptions? Please share.

P.S. PMs & Reported Posts I usually address only in the mornings.

There are three shortcuts on my browser, and I click on them in this order whenever I log in:

1- Support Section
2- Newbie posts approval queue
3- New Posts

I almost never visit the homepage, only surf the forum.

I have a three step process -

1. Skim 'News' Section and see if any new additions in 'Hot Threads' are present. Click open them if something interesting.

2. Go to 'Forum' - 'New Topics'. Skim for interesting threads. Right click and open in new tab, to be able to open multiple threads.

3. Go to 'New Posts' - review just the first page (mostly) and then right click and open threads if anything interests me.

Then I read through all the opened threads in different tabs.

Ocassionally, I am looking for specific threads then I use search option.

Sometimes, I look for specific car reviews. I use the drop down to filter on the brand and pick the car review. I recently was checking out Ford Endeavor's review. Why? Just to drool over the car! :D

First Access of the Day:
1. User CP
2. New Posts.
3. Classifieds
Subsequent Accesses:
1. New Posts

My first surf page on the forum is New posts. Search specifically for Insurance related threads updates. Then Travelogue section and finally other thread updates. If there are any PM pop ups I receive immediately after login, then I check them first and reply if required.

My first choice is Today's Posts, I like to follow up on my posts first and when nothing is left I come to New Topics.

1. Address PMs first... especially the ones other than Quote
2. Forum page - check for unapproved posts. (I know how painful it is to wait for your first few posts as a newbie to go live.)
3. New topics - reported posts ..followed by Support section
4. New topics - Any new threads that catch my attention.
5. Hot Threads
6. Check if a new Official Review is out
7. User CP - Catch up on Subscribed threads.
8. News
9. Home page -> Travelogues section (Love drooling over fantastic images clicked by fellow BHPians and day-dreaming about visiting all those places in this life-time).
10. Update signature after every 1000kms on either of the cars. :D

Start with the one and only New Posts.
If notified for a PM, then address it.
Occasionally, google with my need (keyword) affixing team-bhp to get the right threads/posts.
If i know the title, then use Team BHP search option.

1. I start with User CP. Check all the updates in the subscribed threads. Haven't subscribed to many, so the list is never big.
2. Then I check New Posts. I look at first and second page to see if any thread interests me and the dive into it.
3. If I still have some more time then I look at new topics.
4. I seldom visit main Team Bhp page. So never know what are hot threads.

I always start with new posts. If the topic is interesting, I open the last post in the new tab and read on. If there is no new post I am interested in, I go to the new topic section. I rarely visit the home page. My mobile browser has Team-BHP forum link as the home page.:)

I only check new posts regularly.
As as second priority, I check out classifieds and landing (home) page about once daily.

There are 2 ways that I land at Team BHP.

1. With the "Now Posts" bookmark that I have on my browser. I check out the threads that interest me, and comment on them as desired.
2. If I get quoted and receive alert for the same. Then I check out the quote, reply if required and then head to step 1.

My Pattern :

1. New Posts
2. Super-Cars and Imports in India
3. Vintage Cars & Classics in India
4. Vintage Cars & Classics in India
5. Superbikes & Imports
6. Classifieds
Once in every 2 days I go to the Homepage to check on to any Hot Threads and Recent threads that have been added to the homepage.

Yikes, guess I missed this section for sometime, say for around 7 years :D. Thanks for pointing this out. I tend to miss out on some interesting threads.

I have the Forum bookmarked, so I avoid the homepage. These are the sections I go through each day I visit the forum.
1) Indian car scene
2) Official new car review
3) Initial ownership reports
4) International Automotive scene
5) Modifications & Accessories
6) Travelogues
7) Route/Travel queries
8) Street Experiences
9) Gadgets/Computer

I check the not so frequented sections atleast once or twice a week.

2) http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/official-new-car-reviews/
3) http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/gadget...ters-software/
4) http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifting-gears/

Repeat.
