We recently got an email about this website selling furniture and showpieces made out of car and bike parts -
The Art Mechanic. In the past, BHPians have ordered similar stuff from a store named 'The Automotive Merchandise' -
Related Thread.
The Art Mechanic is a guy named Aniket Patil who's a self-taught metal artist. He's based out of Aurangabad, Maharashtra and comes up with products made from old auto parts and other random metal items. Currently he has a bunch of items listed out on his website in the following categories - showpieces, chairs, coffee tables, lamps and pipe lamps. There is an option for making custom products as well (only for bulk orders or large sculptures).

Nice stuff.
Not a huge fan of the gold colour though!
I really like the lamps. This one is cool too:
(though wish the wire was routed better near the bottom)
Interestingly, came across a roadside (art) Mechanic just last week :D
I guess one can buy "automotive sculptures" too these days. I found this at our neighborhood park - some kind of modern art sculpture made out of gears, sprockets, springs and chains.
Got this picture on WhatsApp, with the caption:
Who says engineers can't create emotional art forms?
Hey guys, I've been watching the latest
goonzquad video and I'm pleasantly surprised on seeing furniture made out of Tata Trucks and Ambassador cars in their video. I thought I should share it here. These guys are based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Some salvage home furniture shop was selling these in U.S.A. Felt super happy on seeing those Tata trucks and Ambassadors. While our people here are going crazy about all the modern furniture from IKEA, people there are going the old school way with retro classic taste. clap:
TATA truck front portion modified into an office reception table
TATA truck front portion modified into a bar counter, checkout the price. It is $888 :Shockked:
Hindustan Ambassador modified as nice little couches.
Here's the video, the above pictures appear from 3:16 in the video
