NSX R vs S2000 vs Civic Type R - A Virtual Test !!!

3 of Hondas premium performance machines. With their light chassis and high output engines, they have proven to be lethal within their respective classes. But what happens when they're pitted against each other?

It doesn't take an Einstein to realise that a 200bhp FWD Civic doesn't stand a chance against a 290bhp RWD NSX R. But, it would surely be interesting to see, by what extent the NSX R beats the other 2.

All tests have been performed on Gran Turismo 4.

Transmission - A/T
Driving Aids - None for track tests / TCS for acceleration tests

Bumping into such a old thread of Shan2nu...

Remember watching a video on youtube, FD2 Civic Type R competing with Acura NSX Type S and others. I, for sure, was impressed with what this little engine is capable of. Check it out by yourself.

Well, the CTR in my test wasn't the FD2. It's was the prev gen EP2 hatch. And the Acura NSX S is very slow compared to the Honda NSX R. Which is why the FD2 is able to perform that well.

Nonetheless, the FD2 is one of the best FWD cars in it's class. It even thrashes the more powerful S2000 around a track. All Honda needs to do is, give this chassis AWD, a turbo and pit it against the EVO/Imprezza.

So true. FD2 is one hell of an engine. Whenever I look at my car, all I can think of plonking in that engine under the hood and just the thought of it puts a huge smile on my face.

BTW, yesterday one of my local known mechanic was talking about a K20A engine lying around which he is willing to let go for $3800! I haven't personally seen it but I surely got tempted. What are the possible complications if I want to import that engine to India? Any ideas?
