I've used Kaanoon and found some competent advocates there, while Upwork works well for software stuff. The ratings & listings really help in choosing the right person.

Is there any website to find good architects & decorators in India? Have a medium-size project waiting for execution, but my regular guy is unavailable.

Often, these projects can run significantly behind schedule, or see the budget being stretched. A good architect & contractor goes a long way!

Absolutely! I would always prefer to go with a referral from someone who has had a real life project executed by the Architect/interior designer. That way you get to see the proof of the pudding.

Else, would agree with the other suggestions here - for interior design / architecture related work, references and recommendations should work best.

Don’t know about any website but I can refer one in Bombay and who is a close friend too. Also, you can ask your regular guy for referrals too and that will have its advantage as well. I am always of the view that specialised jobs works best with referrals. Of course, the final choice rests with what one thinks best.

I agree completely. I’ve heard of nightmare experiences from people who went via architect websites/ home interior design websites. The involvement of third parties messes up the schedules a lot.

I have seen the work of Noman Fatehi, Marine Lines, a lot in the past (but not the recent past). I would recommend him.
