The details as shared by MoHFW as to how one can do registration of self for vaccination. Please go through it and I request everyone to register and get inoculated. The current registration process is only for people who are 60 or above or are 45 and above with comorbidities.

Excellent thread. I look forward to hearing views from members going through the vaccination (there were a few from doctors on the earlier vaccine thread).

But basic question to all - has anyone been able to register via https://cowin.gov.in? Both on website and app, I am getting different issues on different attempts - OTP not received / caption not being generated / page not loading.

I tried registering but the server is not responding right now (10 AM). I did not find the registration link on the CoWin app. To access the link, I selected the Vaccine option from the CoWin menu on the Aarogya Setu app dashboard. It prompts you to enter a mobile number, but then an error crops up. I will try again in the evening.

Over the weekend they were all updating from Cowin 1.0 to CoWin 2.0. Hence there was a notification somewhere that no vaccinations or registrations would be done over the weekend. This could have been why you were facing issues.

Here's hoping that the upgrade has been completed; and smoothly; so that things can continue to work properly from today.

After the server became available I see that there are no slots available for the entire month.

This is becoming like IRCTC tatkal reservation.

Just imagine, the system needs to cater to 30 crore potential users almost in real time. I think we need to wait for at least 15 days to see how things are going.

I tried registering for a senior citizen couple on the website, but it crashed midway. We could do the registration but could not schedule an appointment.

I have tried to register couple of times but not receiving the OTP. Guess we have to wait for few days for the system to get stabilized. The website will get massive number of hits in first few days.

That's old news - my post was after attempting since morning. Still not getting any OTPs on either mode (direct website or via app).

Is the registration being done statewise against allocations against states ? They should control the backchannels to the state and give more leeway to states with registration happening against state quotas. Some of my friends are facing issues registering for parents.

I hear Sputnik vaccine is doing great and would have hoped if we could get more from Russia or have a setup up for creating the doses here.
