Market Price for 2000 Ikon 1.6

Hey guys,
our company Ikon is up for sale.
Details are as follows -

2000 model 1.6 ZXi
4th owner (we were the first owners too but then sold it in 2003 and then some guy working in the company bought it back in 2005/2006, so....)
Comprehensive Insurance
MH 01 reg
Done some 40Kkm according to km read, but i think it was set back or replaced at some point because when we sold it, it had done 30kkm
13" alloy wheels
No accidents but headlights and i think taillamps replaced to new Flair ones
Body and engine in good condition but suspension needs work
It is averagely maintained, not as well as it would have been if it was under our personal care
Oh and the stock musi system (unless the guy changed it)

Reason for selling - the person using it was given our lancer (gonna miss it, will never be the same)

Any idea as to how much we will get for the car?
And, also the prices for a used, decent shape 99-00 model lancer.

Cheers and thanks.

Wow.... It's the first time I came across a car seller who's so candid about his car. You can assume 15% depreciation per year, and 5% loss for every owner change. And, since the new ikon costs close to 5 lakh (incl. taxes + accessories), you can expect about 1.3 lakhs.

A well-maintained 99-00 lancer, from a first owner, will cost you about Rs. 2.5 lakh.

PS - I bet you are gonna buy your lancer back too.

amu1983 : the price you have mentioned is for a 1.3 ikon, which is around 5.25 lac types.
But i agree in his case, the car being a 2000 model, and he being the 4th owner, wont fetch him more than around 1.3 to 1.4

my 2001 1.6 with ford alloys and 60k on the clock is going for around 1.75 in Delhi

To be realistic, In Mumbai, for a 2000 Ikon 4th owner, you will be lucky if you get 1 Lakh.

@amu - no point in lying. The new owner will figure it out sooner or later and we are definitely not going to buy the lancer back. We got it for personal use but because we didn't need so many cars, its in office use.
The Ikon was the only car we bought back and i think my dad is off second hand cars now.

@ Esteem Lover
Well, we've been getting quotes around that price.

Guys, given the condition of the car, do you think it is worth modifying this car?
As in get a Koni tuned suspension along with original ford bits, KnN, 15" tyres, Freeflow and maybe a tri performance module?
Or do you think getting a second hand Palio 1.6/Lancer makes more sense?
PS - I will have to convince dad for both options.

I sold my Ikon 1.6 Zxi 2002 model, in perfect condition with 52K on the Odometer for 1.65 lacs. The tyres would have needed replacement in in another 10000 kms or so. It was a great car. As for Lancer the going price for a 99-00 model stock GLXi, run more than 100k no major accidents should be about 1.75 lacs, it seems Mumbai is more expensive. Hope this helps

Cheers

let the josh machine go lambo. shes been through 4 owners and average maintenance like you said. Anything above 1.5 lac is a steal. You could look around for a low mileage Palio 1.6 and get modding!

Spoke to my dad,
don't think he is interested in selling the car at that price.
Do you think it would make sense to modify the car then or should i try and convince him further?

Such cars(single owner) go for around 1.5L in delhi. Well maintained ones go for 1.8L max.
With so many owners it may not fetch beyond 1.2L.
All this is delhi price, don't know about the mumbai second hand scene.

In smaller towns resale values are higher by about 10-20K.
