What I found amusing was the undying spirit of the enterprising scrap dealers. They lined up on the first day itself making scrap offers for the aluminium!!

Guys some off topic information for you folks. Boeing has bought land in Pune MIDC area for commercial activities. This has been published in MIDC calender for 2007. Here is a picture from the calender itself:

I heard or rather read in some newspaper that a dealer for automobiles who has various show rooms for 4 and 2 wheelers in Chembur and other parts of the city is in negotiations for the Boeing !

What a ride! Hmmm, just needs a good set of 46" (or whatever) alloys, low profiles, and some ICEing (or should that be IPEing? hydrashok/navin - this'd be a *big* project, eh ? ) - I suspect the handling will still suck...

Why haven't anyone converted it into a hotel on road ? i am sure people are already setting up homes inside the aircraft.
