Somehow these movies really manage to grab your attention and are almost always lovely movies. How was Europa Europa? Movies with a similar theme include Life is Beautiful, The Pianist & Schindler's List. I guess its just the really powerful subject that ensures that the movies almost always have a nice chunky story.

My biggest regret of the decade.

Trust me guys there have been MUCH worse movies including Bombay to Bangkok, Speed(the hindi one),American Pie:Beta House & Dorm Daze. Im sure we will be able to add to this list.

My Cousin Vinny is a great comedy! Marisa Tomei is great in it. I liked her more than Joe Pesci in the movie. Like rev_hard, I too enjoy it every time I watch it, even after innumerable re-runs on the telly.

What I really liked about the movie is how light it is. It isn't a bad movie or silly but still doesn't make you think too much and like you said Marisa Tomei is really cute in it.

Watched RACE !! Yawn !!!!

It was OK OK . Go see it if you got nothing else to do. As usual Katrina looks AWESOMMEEEE !! Saif is good, storyline is just twisted everywhere.

Tarun.

Way better than the Ghost and the darkness was 'Savage Harvest' , where a family gets trapped in a bungalow surrounded by a pride of hungry lions.

Note: There were 2 movies with the identical name released
'Savage Harvest' - 1981 , which is about the Lion attack, Excellent movie.
'Savage Harvest' - 1994 - This is a crap horror flick.

There Will Be Blood - Looked like a good movie, but was too slow for me. But it tackles the subject of greed, power hunger and selfishness very well.

Donnie Darko - A really crazy and psychotic movie. I loved the acting of Jake Gylenhall as a disturbed guy.

@ Khanak - I liked Europa Europa. Nicely made. The boy's conflicting emotions have been depicted very well.

Zwartboek - A Jewish singer infiltrates the German command in occupied Netherlands.

Reindeer Games - Ben Affleck, Charlize Theron. Okay action thriller type.

Too slow and somehow I felt the story wasn't strong enough. I was let down by this movie after having some really high expectations. I guess I shouldn't really let the hype surrounding movies get to me.

Saw The Bucket List and Race.
The bucket list was so so. Over hyped performances by both super actors. I think the whole movie was over hyped. touching in parts and funny in a few. On the whole if theres no other movie to watch, its not going to hurt if you see this one but if you missed it, its not gonna hurt too.
Race: One word: AVOIDABLE!!
I think, only Akshay Khanna and Bipasha have managed to actually act in the film. Bipasha looks hot (and im not even a fan) Katrina should get acting and dancing classes along with Saif. They are the sloppiest dancers the world has known. Saif looks ok but he tries too hard to look cool, suave, macho. Anil Kapoor is wasted and Samira Reddy should realise shes not sexy, she never was. The d-uh role of a dumb girl comes naturally to her.
The music doesnt ring your bell too.
One feels good being an Indian. Looks like every other job in South Africa is taken by an Indian. Priest, Cop, Cop's assistant, Stud Farm owner, Another Stud Farm owner, Marriage registrar, Murderer, Personal Assistant, Security, Doctor and what not.
Coming to the plot, its more twisted than the halwai's jalebi.
Car buffs will love finding faults. The W211 turning to a W211, the Skyline turning to a Nissan (I think) after a crash. The Z3 changing rims in a sequence, etc etc. Whoever heard of drifting without using your brakes (hand or the other variety). SLKs being tossed around without engines (it was probably running on its reputation). An ace driver, drifter etc etc not knowing when to overtake and get how to avoid being hit by a huge pipe leading to his crash....yeeesh the list goes on and on.
I HATED it!!

Watched No Country For Old Men last month; the one which won the Oscar.
What a movie!! Worth watching.

I can't wait for the new Bond Movie (#22): Quantum of Solace.

Couldnt agree more. I generally check IMDB rating before embarking on a movie. However, this was not the first time IMDB has fooled me :Frustrati

But then, thats the price you got to pay for being a movie buff wanting to see all movies:)

Just finished watching Hitman

I really wasn't expecting anything from the movie but I actually thought it wasn't all that bad. Olga Kurylenko is smoking hot in the movie and has done a decent job of the acting. Timothy Olyphant who plays Agent 47 is allright though you cant help thinking of how Jason Statham would have been perfect for the role. A lot of clever product placement by Audi though some nice driving would have really helped. The action is a bit unbelievable in some places and excellent in others. It isn't a movie that has to be taken too seriously and if you watch it with an empty mind it can actually be pretty decent.

Just finished The Shawshak redemption.

By far the best movie I have seen. Better than the Godfather series!!

It also makes you feel good that you are not in prison!!!

Saw1-2-3. Crappy movie. Cheap comedy although I must admit that a couple of scenes did induce laughter.

Btw, what has gone into Paresh Rawal ? Why such B-grade movies ? Is he going the Mithun way ? Waste of talent.

Just completed Godfather III. Was good but not as good as I or II.

Bheja Fry

A laugh riot. Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Rajat Kapoor as the harassed man is a delight, and how can i forget the main protagonist of the movie?! He was simply amazing, and worth emulating just to irritate people. Milind Soman and Sarika didnt have much to do, and breezed through their roles. Ranbir playing the role of the tax man was different, and one really felt for him in the scene at the ending.

The screenplay was good, and was not tiring on the senses.

Overall, definitely worth a watch.
