Comments about 'The Angrez'?
I have just started watching this movie, and i just love it. The Hyderabadi lingo both from the old City areas, as well as the New Hyderabad have been captured very well. Since i had friends who were from the Old City, i can relate to the language rather well.

Will update once i finish watching the movie.

Benny,

Are you not posting in Team-BHP today?I meant are you not working today? :uncontrol

Raajiv, in the office i am. However, weekend fever has set in.
Started watching the movie last night, will complete it in the evening. :)

WOW! That must be one hell of a long movie if you had to start last night & it'll finish only by today evening. Just for curiosity's sake, what's the run time?

Angrez is an amazing movie and is not long. It is like any other normal movie. I think the run-time is about 2 hours or 2.5 hours. I am sure benny must have started watching late and couldn't complete and will finish it today.

It subsequent sequels don't have the same impact though.

Ishaan, do i take it to believe have no idea at all, or just be kind and tell you that i couldnt complete watching the movie yesterday? Having it on your PC gives you such liberties. :D

Benny,

Have a great weekend and do not forget to complete the movie tonight.

Any opinion on The Shawshank Redemption?

It is number 2 on the IMDB list.
IMDb Top 250

Hydra? NC?

EDIT: Is it a family movie (violence OK s*x is a no no) that I can watch with my folks?

EDIT 2: What about No Country for Old Men? Won an oscar this year right?

Anyone seen Derailed? Nice movie starring Clive Owen and Jen Aniston.

Heard there is a remake of the same in Tamil too.

Seen quite a bit of movies starring Clive Owen and i am fascinated with the fact that he drives a BMW in most or all the movies he stars in. Brand loyalty.:D

I have lost count the number of times I have watched this movie. A must watch. Its rated R in US for some profanity and nothing else.
PS: The year was 1994 - Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction & Forrest Gump. Forrest Gump won at the Oscars.

This movie got me glued to the screen and I watched it back to back. I plan to watch it again. A very violent film.

The Shawshank Redemption is among the best movies I've seen. MUST watch. The story is a testament to how patient a man can be, when his objective is really clear. The novelette by Stephen King (on which the movie is based) is also a great read. The movie is pretty faithful to the novelette. Total famly movie, except for a bit of uh, gay-prison-rape (very very short and not too un-familyish).

No Country for Old Men is also a really good, fact-paced movie. No s3x, but oooooodles of violence. Won 3 oscars if I remember right. Best Movie, Direction and Supporting Actor.

Oops. Missed that part about The Pianist. Also a very good movie. Adrien Brody is just great. Set in WWII context (Hitler's Concentration Camps, et al).

I've seen the movie. Its pretty average, but there are segments that have been done very well. Worth watching. Thats if there's nothing else to watch.
