Small things matter a lot in weight reduction. It took me 2 years to loose 7 inches at tummy and 7 kg weight. Now it is correct as per height and weight. Makes you feel so good.

I'd go as far as saying that's a very desi thing. For some reason, people think it's due to an illness one lost weight - even if it was a very healthy weight loss.

Think it was Russel Peters who did a comedy bit on something similar. A pot belly in India was associated with prosperity. Olden days of famine, only the well off people got food to eat. So skinny was equated to poor.

Oh well.

Sorry for OT.

I have been on a weight loss journey too.

Total weight loss - 45.5 Kgs [Last 35.5 Kgs on Jul 22 - Aug 23]

The thing that motivated me was a peculiar comment by a general physician back when my mother was admitted for surgery and the constant reduction in my waist size - a supplementary quantitative measure other than the weight of course!

This wasn't easy but, the only help came from being consistent and keeping a tab on my calories.

Inspiring experience, we are lucky that God gave us time to lose weight and not life! I am now entering double-digit figures after 12 years, so it may take 4-5 months to reach my ideal weight, but I will post my updates on this thread.

Herbalife is like Skoda = 50% of the market will never own one, and the other 50% loves Skodas.

Yes, this is like a Skoda. I did own a Skoda and have never found an equivalent car till now in terms of stability and performance.

I am all set to fall below the 90 kg category now after 20 years. Getting rid of the last 10 kg has been very tough, but I am determined to reach my ideal weight before May 2024. The BMR is now 1906, my muscle rating is 29.6, and my visceral fat rating is 17.5, as opposed to 2600, 22.7, and 30 before starting my weight loss journey in May 2023. I have shared the progress of my weight loss program which is being documented by my club owner.

Those numbers are Greek and Latin to me, but your picture isn't! It is crystal clear that whatever you are doing is giving you the desired result and that you are traveling on the right path.

There might of course be differences of opinion on the fuel that's sustaining you but that's a given. Each one of us have a unique experience and perspective, specially about hot issues like weight control and safety of Maruti cars :D.

Hope the last ten kilos won't keep troubling you for long.

A piece of advice born out of experience: It might be difficult to reach the top (bottom - in your case). But it is far harder to remain there!

Best wishes.

This is going to be a long story, but I am revealing all the truth here to underline that if we are ready to put in the effort, there will be results, and age is just a number.

First of all, congratulations for the fantastic achievements!
(If you mentioned working at https://www.honeywell.com/us/en, then hi to a former colleague)

Second, you must understand that it was you and your will and effort that led you to achieve the results, not Herbalife or any other supplement (unless it is some anabolic chemical and/or actual fat burning ones).

Third, based on your fat analysis report it shows 63 kg as fat free mass. That means an athletic level weight for you would be 74 kg (assuming 15% body fat). Think of it as a long term goal!

I went for a general health check-up today, and my wife too walked with me to Kanva in Nagarabhavi. This was a morning walk to Kanva, which is 6 km from our house in Sir MV Layout. My weight came down to the 88–89 kg range today. Cheering: My wife too has partnered with me in the weight loss program and has cut down*25 kg in 9 months. She was diabetic from 2019 to 2023, and today she has her sugar levels under control and is free from thyroid and PCOD problems that troubled her for 10 years. I will later post the test result comparison between 2021 and 2024.

Big cheers, my friend. I should say you look healthy and trim. Keep at it.
Stay healthy and fit!
Cheers

Very curious to see the comparison, specially the change in body fat composition. Please do share when you get a chance.

I have completed one year of my weight loss program and am now just 2 kg short of reaching my ideal weight for my age of 46 years. My efforts in the last 2-3 months have been to reduce my dependency on Herbalife products and keep it natural with a balance of food and physical activity. So, the weight loss since March 27, 2024, till today has been only 5 kg. My recent photo taken at 76 kg is shared here for comparison. I continue to walk and jog every day for at least 7km and on weekends I go on long-distance walks. There is no special diet or food restrictions, but I ensure my food has a good balance of carbs, protein, and fibre. That's it!

I have reached my theoretical ideal weight today, finally after waiting for 3 months to shed the last 3 kilos to reach 73 kg. My dependency on Herbalife has reduced to every alternate day in a week, and I have maintained my daily physical activities like walking, jogging, and long walks on weekends. The most recent long walk was to Malleswaram 16th Cross from Bharath Nagar (Magadi Road) and back home again by walk. I covered 32 km in total over 5 hours, with 2-3 bio-breaks during the walk.

Your de-hunkend look does appear a bit emaciated, but no worries. Congratulations on first setting a goal and then sticking to it till the end. You would by now know your body better than anybody else; do keep the discipline in terms of food and exercises intact and you will have no cause for worry.

Best wishes.

My transformation journey in one slide. Looking back now, I never thought about achieving this, it is all about positive vibes. Keep saying it, and it will happen!

Congratulations

Very very inspirational. So nice to see that you stuck to the program.

Cheers
