Hi,

Onam (rather Thiru Onam) falls on the 2nd of September. This is one festival for which we close our shop apart from the regular weekly holiday.

A very happy to Onam to you all!

Onasadya, Onakkodi, Onakkazhcha ! The pulis and kummattis in Thrissur! V D Rajappan and Kalabhavan parody songs! The special banana chips! The Pookkalams! The vallamkali live telecast and stupid celebrity interviews in DD Malayalam channel! I miss them all.

The banana chips price have sky rocketed this time. Though I can't do much about the 'sadya' this is what my daughter and two of her school friends has laid out in our porch:
