Maiden@Bombay Feb 1 2008

oy folks!

it's been a long time since i logged in... almost a year i'd say...been busy in a new job and my bloody comp's been on the fritz 99% of the time... damned mobos keep self-destructing.

but here's some great news everyone could do with.

Maiden are coming back to India, and will be playing in Bombay (in fact, their world tour kicks off in Bombay) on Feb 1, 2008.

And as someone who went for their Bangalore '07 show..... I shall be there... This my friends, is going to turn into an annual piligrimage...

btw on the car front....

My baleno has new ICE: Pioneer 7950UB, 2 6x9 Pioneer TS-S6992S in the rear - sticking with the stock Marutis speakers in the front for now, Pioneer steering remote

Shoes: Sold off the old Aura 14" alloys and MXF Sports...Got HR "Serendipity" 15x6" (8 spoke) with Pilot Preceda 2 195/55/R15....

The Adventure's doing fine with the 195/70R14 XM1s.... though the battery keeps on draining if the car isn't used for a few days....some folks had sent me PMs regarding the tyres and the car - sorry I never replied... but the Adventure and the XM1s get my thumbs up...

take care folks....

Superb news. Gotta plan for that concert and while I'm there I'd love to meet the mumbai crowd too.

I dont think the maiden concert took place on feb 1. The last one was in bangalore but that happened before this thread was started.

Nyways since we are talking about rock bands, I read somewhere that pink floyd are planning a tour. Seems like Roger Waters and David Gilmour decided to come together after their G8 appearance. Any news and views on this ??

The Maiden concert did happen.. and it was brilliant as expected. The crowd wasnt as large as the bangalore concert, which in a way was good because i was able to breathe. They played a ton of their classics, including the entire rime of the ancient mariner, and revelations which i never thought i would ever get to see live.

Most of this is just rumours. Some time back there was a lot of talk of Eric Clapton coming here, to Bombay particularly. By the way, the Roger waters concert was terrific- I personally think he sounds much more like Pink Floyd than Pink Floyd now.

wooo... Hard to believe that it did not attract a lot of media coverage. I guess news paper editions from Delhi are not covering events happening in Mumbai .

Roger waters concert was indeed awsome. I too was there . But I still would like to see the Pink Floyd perform with david and roger sharing the stage.
