have to decide within a week - maybe tomm i mite go and check out the options . need ur views urgent. friends have asked me to consider the x-box instead of the ps2 ...so im sort of confused...

what do u fellas say ?

I own a Playstation 2, nintendo gamecube and a sega dreamcast. Out of these i prefer the PS2 for the sheer number of games available for it right now. The XBOX has better graphics anyday, and has some awesome XBOX only games. But in bangalore where i stay, the number of games you can get for it are very limited. So depending on the availability of the games u should decide between an XBOX or a PS2. The gamecube is totally out of the reckoning since games are just impossible to come by in india .. and there arent any pirated disks available for it.
So i would recommend the PS2.

The PS2 has he most support in India as well as the rest of the world.

Maybe you could wait for the portable PS2 which has just been launched in Japan.

I'd suggest the PS2 as well. You not only get tech support for it, but getting a pirated version of the game is as easy as finding a vada-pav stall in Mumbai. Its got reasonably good to good graphics (of course the X-Box has a better graphics engine) and is actually quite versatile and user friendly.

Rtech, the PSP or Portable PlayStation is just out in Japan. It will now head for US shores only in March 2005 and thereon for worldwide sale.

NC, if you can wait or better still want something even better at a much later time, have a go at the upcoming PS-III. Slated for launch mid/end next year it will have a processor that will be 10 times faster than the current gen PS-II's. Talk about performance eh!

NC go for PS2 .... any day Xbox has better graphics compared to PS2 but number of games available on PS2 is wide and they are damn cheap now 60-70 bucks ....

But the PSP should not be compared to a home console. Sure.. the graphics may be almost as good as a PS2 but it is a totally different system altogether.

i vote for ps2. its amazing. the latest one comes with a cam. no need of remote to play. u need to dance, jump, kick etc etc to play . u can combine excersize and play with it. i played for 30 mins and i was sweating. its a good one. lot of games available for ps2 then x-box. technically speaking ibox is better but less games n options.......... so go for ps2 its simply superb.

none the ps2 all the way ive got an xbox n trust to play games like mgs3 n splintercell sux on the xbox although the graphics r better on the xbox hey look at it this way would u prefer a car that looks good or races better? that'll answer your question (gameplay vs graphics)?n oh yeah psp (psportable is not even close to ps2 pls try not to compare)

how come PS2 CD's are soo cheap?? 70 bucks only?! are they pirated?
coz the same game in PC version would cost you almost or more than a grand.

Ya obvs. these are pirated cds you just need that MOD chip in your PS2 and you can enjoy those 70 bucks cds
