U can find the original gypsy with 1000cc engine and narrow track for this budget.
There are plenty available.
I can help U source one if U're quite serious.

What rally?
The gypsy 1000 is too underpowered ,a minimum 11 years old and will need a hell a lot of skill to finish a rally.
Up ur budget and find a king with the 1300 engine and wider track.

Gypsy

Hi Nitrous,

I'm interested in a King. Could you give me an indicative idea of how much it would cost along with the cost of the mods?

Thank you.

Spare parts are difficult to procure. We had a Gypsy king a few years back, and we had a tough time sourcing clutch plates.

YES!
It took us almost a month to source the steering box for Headers' king.
Gypsy spares come from Delhi.
And a Gypsy king here costs a minimum of around 1.5 lakhs.

Vicra, if rallying is your motive, start a thread on what is the best way to do it. Many people here will advise you start with the carb esteem instead.

Gypcy Or Esteem

Dear Nitrous,

As you also have said that spareparts for gypcy is difficult to procure, please advice whether i should go for gypcy or esteem because the very purpose of buying another vehicle is to participate in rallys.

What kind of rallies,man?
There are Time-Speed-Distance rallies as well as INRC rallies where U'll have to go as fast as U can.
Do U wish to do endurance rallies like the Raid-de-Himalaya or the Rally Desert Storm?
