Drain pines are present on the Elevated Expressway, but they were blocked when the first heavy rains happened in Bangalore. Because of this blockage, water got stagnated on the Expressway on that particular day.
But the concerned authorities must have (hopefully) got the blockage cleared by now.

Raining cats & dogs since an hour @Jayanagar.
Cant see the roads, several areas are dark .
It's raining damn heavily here in HSR Layout! The weather is just awesome and calling me for a drive, and I will be shortly leaving for EC to pick my wife. Just hope there's no flooding on the tollway to spoil the whole sexy drive!
Super heavy rain in Jayamahal and Jayanagar too! Now almost stopped.
Brilliant weather and its raining too in BSK 2nd stage; man i love bangalore for this
its june and raining and cold at nights; simply awesome
Was happily watching Dukes of Hazzard on WB. Heavy rains and tata sky stopped working.
Rained like cats and Dogs in Whitefields area few minutes back . I was not able to go out of the building for a smoke. The entrance facing South West was blocked due to Heavy cross wind pushing the rain inside the building :Shockked:.
I am Seeing such a rain in Bangalore after a long time
Just got back home after getting drenched. More than the rain, it was the fools in the opposite lane of the Mysore road flyover which got me drenched. Sheesh!

I just came back from E-city using the elevated expressway. As expected, water is stagnated in the right lane. There was severe waterlogging on the expressway in front of Bosch building in Bommanahalli. I would advise you to use the road below.
There was also a lot of waterlogging in Madivala and in some parts of Koramangala. The IT capital of India becomes an off-roading destination within half an hour of rain. :Frustrati

Not only IT capital, but Financial Capital and National Capital too become an off-roading destination once it rains.:D

I don't think that in these cities the transformation happens within half an hour of rains, as is the case in Bangalore (because of lack of proper drainage). :Frustrati

All these problems are nil in Old Bengaluru. Have anyone seen water logging for long in areas like Jayanagar/Basavanagudi/Malleswaram etc?!
I am missing the warmth of summer already !
There was knee deep water-logging below the Railway bridge near Jalsa ORR. There was a bad traffic Jam due to this. Not sure how is the condition now.
